The general rule is that any material that you grabbed off the web is copyrighted. Crediting the author isn’t enough. You need to seek the author’s permission to use the material. What if you’re using it for educational or research purposes? That’s where the idea of fair use comes in. But fair use will not protect you from a legal battle. So don't depend on the law of fair use to get you out of a copyright issue.

Unfortunately, the cost of paying for the rights to use the material depends on where you will be posting it as well as the reach of the content you will be sharing. There are also several other factors that will count towards the total cost.
